Opt-In Page for SMS Messaging Service

How our text messaging program works, and how to manage it.

Program Description

InmateTelefone's SMS Messaging Service lets you exchange text messages with your incarcerated loved one, and receive account notifications (such as balance, renewal, and delivery updates) from InmateTelefone.

How to Opt In

You opt in to this program by creating an InmateTelefone account and providing your mobile phone number, or by texting an inmate's assigned InmateTelefone number. By doing so, you consent to receive text messages from InmateTelefone and, on our behalf, messages relayed from your incarcerated loved one.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your conversation activity and account notifications. You may receive multiple messages per day depending on how often you and your loved one communicate.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier plan.

How to Opt Out

You can cancel text messages at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number you have been messaging. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from that number. If you want to rejoin, sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

Help

If at any time you have questions about the messages you receive, text "HELP" to the same number, or contact us directly — see our Contact page.

Supported Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our messaging program works across major U.S. wireless carriers. Coverage and delivery are not guaranteed for all handsets and carriers.

Privacy

Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our full Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
